The Crabapple Company came about as a way for two moms to spend the day at the local farmer’s market selling our homemade products. We started with our Grandma Leona’s green pepper jelly recipe, which had always been a crowd pleaser at holiday gatherings. Once the pepper jelly became a hit, we added a personal twist to other family favorites and developed recipes to provide a variety of products our customers love.

The picture above is from our first-ever farmer's market booth in 1999. We had three products (one of which we don't sell anymore) that we made on our own in home kitchen. I was pregnant with my second little boy and we spent that entire summer slicing green peppers and throwing out batch after batch when we couldn't get it to set right.

We have since developed other recipes and now sell 10 products. The picture below is of our booth in the summer of 2007. We no longer make products in our kitchens, thank goodness, and we went from one farmer's market a week to 6. It's been a long and exciting journey and now we are ready to move to the next stage, which is selling our products in stores as well as on this website to our loyal customers.
